Many psychiatrists say that jogging 3 times a week is no less effective than psychotherapy traditionally used to treat light depression and moderate stress. Physical effort is the surest natural means of smacking apathy known to man. Therefore, physical exercises are recommended in the treatment of reactive depression. It is less obvious that sports activities have a positive effect in the treatment of benign endogenous depression (not effective in severe cases of endogenous depression).

This is because the exercises stimulate the production of endorphins, which improve the body and relieve pain. When you exercise, your body produces its own medicines and chemicals, which are like stimulated pharmacological therapy alone. Changes that occur in the human psyche are not just a cocktail result that we provide to the body during exercise. Self-esteem and human mood changes when it acquires physical vigor and confidence in its abilities. What’s more, regular exercise requiring self-discipline gives satisfaction to achieving goals that have been earned well. Overcoming your own weaknesses, laziness and replacing inaction with a positive action will build self-confidence, self-confidence and a sense of greater control over your own life.

Practicing sports, of course, does not help to free yourself from depression, if they will accompany the self-imposed uncompromising and unrealistic goals. The therapeutic function of physical effort is, among others, on the fact that he served himself pleasure, and was not an unpleasant means to satisfy exorbitant excesses. “It’s not about catching a bunny, but about chasing him” – the beneficial influence of the sport is getting stronger due to regularity rather than intensity.

Physical effort heals, primarily counteracts and delays disease-causing processes, but also relieves the symptoms of many diseases. These sporting properties are involved in the prevention and treatment of mood disorders with both black and white and biochemical background.
